There is majesty in the orange sandstone that rises, spiraling to the heavens. Arches National Park was created by wind and water. The land speaks the language of time. As our boots clamber over the arid shapes, stopping to rest in pitiful shade among cactus blossoms, our eyes watch for a glimpse of the next formation, a spike, a butte, a canyon, or best of all, an arch.
